Microsoft recently announced the New Outlook.Com as a preview for its users to gets an hands on with the product. Outlook.com is a webmail service provided by Microsoft is going to be an alternative for Hotmail.Com which is used by most of the users across the globe. Hoping so Outlook.com going to live will replace the Hotmail.com completely and have its existing users to get to use the new interface.
As expected to the surprise we can see the new Outlook.com is designed with the Microsoft’s latest Modern UI interface (Metro UI) which is closely mimic the standalone desktop interface look and fell of the traditional Outlook product. Hotmail.com was first introduced to the public as a webmail in 1996, which is joined by Google Gmail 8years down the lane with some of the competitors. Now a days we can see that email are flowing in numbers from the regular Newsletters, Social Networks and advertisements which is making the email services more effectively, but organizing the email inbox makes it bit difficult. Existing Hotmail.com users can upgrade to Outlook.com directly by clicking on the Upgrade to Outlook.com option available in the settings as shown in the screen below. Once its upgraded we can see the new Windows 8 Modern UI design (Metro UI) outlook webmail.
Once upgraded we can see the new look and feel of the webmail and the integration of the social network (Facebook and Twitter) makes it more powerful to the end users to keep posting their updates easily.
So what are the new features?
Yes many people ask what are the new features and why I need to upgrade to the new Outlook.com even though Hotmail.com is performing well and meets my expectation. Definitely yes we can see a good feature and enhancements which makes our life easier with the new Outlook.com webmail. New features are as follows.

With these new features it makes the product more effective and can be utilized in a good pattern. With in 2 weeks of time we can see about 10 Millions users registered and started using Outlook.com. As an added feature we can register a new email with @outlook.com as the domain or else we can use the existing hotmail.com email id to login and upgrade to the outlook.com. As we know live.com is as well supported and can be used in hotmail.com.

I have logged into Outlook.com with my Windows Live account but I keep getting redirected to the old hotmail. I do not have the option of 'upgrade' in the options menu. Please help as I want to use the new features!
