What are the new things launched and introduced on 12 September 2012?
1) Microsoft’s Official launch of the new Visual Studio 2012
2) Microsoft opened “Windows Store” to the public
3) Microsoft announced the preview of “Windows Phone 8 SDK”

Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Launch:
Microsoft official launched the latest build of Visual Studio 2012 on Wednesday by Mr S. Somasegar, corporate VP of Microsoft’s developer division providing the Key note at the launch event organized in Seattle which was streamed as a live show to worldwide. Followed by Somasegars key note it was taken over by Jason Zander and Brian Harry on a show case of developing Modern Apps. Microsoft Windows Store:
For the Windows 8 developers it’s a news again that Microsoft opened the gate by providing access to the Windows Store Market to the public. Till 11th September 2012 the store is accessible to the companies who can publish the Windrows 8 apps to the store and now its open to the public who can register and start uploading the apps to the Marketplace. And its again for MSDN Subscribers who get a Registration code for 1 year free access to the Windows Store.

In a blog post Antoine Leblond from Microsoft mentioned
“Today’s an especially great day to be a developer. We’re very excited to announce the last significant milestone in the rollout of the Windows Store before the general availability of Windows 8 on October 26. The Store is now open for app submissions from all developers – individuals and companies – in our supported markets, and we’ve added 82 more app submission markets! Now, developers from 120 markets can publish Windows Store apps. Ted Dworkin, Partner Program Manager for the Store, authored this post.”
So why waiting still, just start registering using the link https://appdev.microsoft.com/StorePortals/ and start publishing your ideas as applications to the stores.
Microsoft Windows Phone 8 SDK:
Microsoft announced the much awaited Windows Phone 8 SDK preview on demand to the geeks and technology enthusiasts by filling a nomination form which is made available only to selected people. The nominations will be taken till Monday 16th September 2012 and the SDK will be made available to the selected nominations later the week.
In a blog post Microsoft’s Todd Brix says the limited Preview Program, instead of a public one, is due to the fact that not all Windows Phone 8 features have been announced. “We recognize that this is a different approach to delivering tools than we’ve taken in the past,” So how to register for the Preview, To apply, please visit the Microsoft Connect site and complete a short application. Developer ID and Application’s Product ID are required as well as the name of your local Phone Champ (Download the My Local Champ app into windows phone to get the Local Champ near you, don’t forget to turn on the location as the app requires location to be turned on to search for the champ near you).
Apple Iphone 5:
Apple has finally announced the much anticipated IPHONE 5 in San Francisco by APPLE CEO Tim Cook. So what’s been soo hot with the device, yes it comes with a larger 4 inch screen along with a new dock connector. As per Tim, the phones will be on sale from September 21st and to the surprise it costs the same as the previous version which is IPhone 4S.
There are some other things that are to be noted from the event is the device is 4 inch screen, 18% thinner (7.66mm thick) and 20% lighter (112 Gran) than the older version of the device. But to the surprise Apple has announced IPhone 5 with only 2 colors – Slate(Black) and Silver with aluminum finish and no white color is on the line.
