I have been asked by many of my blog followers and subscribers what will be the duration of an application to be Certified and be available in the Market Place. My usual answer to them was it depends and if everything is well prepared and the Checklist is followed then it will take a normal 5 business days to get it certified and available in the Market place. But again I put a note saying it depends and nothing is Guaranteed as Certification process takes different scenarios and test the process.
The very next question people will be asking is what is the certification process, and what is the certification flow once we publish the app to the Certification. And some do ask me stating that in their account next to the Application Name it shows me XAL Failed or it shows me Signing Stage and what does it means? Do I need to do something or is everything fine with my Application? etc..” [more]
I can see the community is very much interested in creating Windows Phone application and get it certified with the Market Place, but at the same time they do need to know what is the flow and how the app is getting certified. So I came up with my own diagram on how the flow goes and explained in a easiest way so that its understood by my followers. This flow chart is an graphical explanation of the different states of the application submission and what exactly it means to the developer.
Once the application is certified without any issues mail will be sent to the App owner with the status, at the same time if the app is failed with some doubts in the certification process a mail will be sent to the App owner requesting for few more details which can be provided to further proceed with the certification.
