F5debug Milestones of the Year 2011

Friends,

This year is really a special year for me, I started this blog on April 2011 and had a long journey to get things on to the right path. Well in this journey I came across many wonderful persons who encouraged me to the core to continue with the work that I am doing right now. Right now I am working on a new series of articles on Windows Phone 7. These articles are for the Novice to get exposed and be a Professional with Windows Phone 7 Development. The article covers in-depth and the step by step process on how to set the development environment and make use of the inbuilt controls available to develop the Windows Phone 7 Application. Introduction

In this article, we will cover how to use Charts and Gauges with the reports in the SQL Server Reporting Services. In our earlier articles, we saw how to design and deploy basic reports and some options to administer the server with basic operations on manipulations with the folder. Let us see the step-by-step process on how to use the Charts and Gauges.

Windows Azure – Announcement on Access Control Services

Microsoft has announced important update on the Access Control Services to the end users and the updates are as below.

 

Extension of the promotional period of Access Control Service to December 1, 2012

Extended Promotional Period till Dec 1, 2012 will be effective immediately and ACS will be available to the end users with free of cost till the promotional period. This promotional free offer is available for both ACS 1.0 and ACS 2.0

 

Availability of the Access Control Service 1.0 Migration Tool

ACS 2.0 is introduced by April 2011, by then end users uses the ACS 2.0 and some application still with ACS 1.0 can now be easily migrated to ACS 2.0 using this Migration Assitance. This tool can be downloaded from the link http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=27545&WT.mc_id=rss_alldownloads_all

This Migration Assitance provides the consumers with the below

  • Copying data from ACS 1.0 namespace to a ACS 2.0 namespace.
  • Migrating DNS name from the original ACS 1.0 namespace to the new ACS 2.0 namespace with no service downtime.

Deprecation of Access Control Service 1.0 on December 20, 2012

By 20 December 2012, ACS 1.0 will be shutdown officially, and no support will be available. All consumers are adviced to convert to ACS 2.0 in this 12 months duration which provides much comfort and to avoid any sevice interuptions.
